And now, we have our branch on the Chennai-Bangalore highway route.  The newest highway restaurant in our growing chain of Junior Kuppanna outlets was inaugurated on 10th December 2022. 

To make the occasion very special we had Thiru. Prabu Pachaiappan, Managing Director, Kanchipuram Pachaiyappa’s Silk as the chief guest for launching the outlet. Along with him we also had Mr Murthy K and Mr Arumugan P, from the founder's family. A new beginning that looks very promising and bright for all food lovers, indeed!

Strongly carrying the legacy of a brand founded in 1960 by Thiru Kuppanna & Thirumati Rukmini Amma, an exponent in Kongu Cuisine, we have been rigorously expanding our presence across cities in the South.

Junior Kuppanna has for future expansion earmarked 25 locations for highway restaurants in the next 3 years. As a start to this rollout, JK launches its new format highway restaurant at Kanchipuram. The Junior Kuppanna brand needless to say is the leading brand in Kongu regional cuisine.

We cook tasty and traditional Kongu meals. Districts of Coimbatore, Erode, Tirupur, Karur, Namakkal, Salem, Nilgiris, Dindigul, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri of South India, Tamil Nadu are those that contribute to this finer style of cooking.

Vegetarians are also left with finger-licking meals such as garlic rasam and paruppu (lentils) with spicy puli or kaara kulambu,curd rice and more.

Here is a sneak peek into what you can do on a one-day trip to Kanchipuram. One of the main temples there is the Kanchi Kailasanathar temple. There is more to see including the Sri Kanchi Kamakshi Amman Temple, Sri Ulagalanda Perumal Temple, and the one that can never be forgotten, Sri Varadaraja Perumal Temple. It was built by the prominent Chola king Raja Raja I in 1053 AD. It is said to be the second oldest temple in Kancheepuram after the Ekambaranathar temple.
